Where the curse of man is instilled in Genesis, “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” [Genesis 3:17]. The curse is removed in Revelations, “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:” [Revelation 22:3].
Day in and day out we labor for our livelihood, struggling to put food on the table and a roof over our families. This is part of the curse laid on Adam in Genesis, but it shall be lifted when God’s kingdom comes. No longer shall we have to labor against the world for our Lord and Father will provide for us. Labor is not the only way the world weighs on us. What other curses, (read here ‘stresses’) does the world put on you?
Genesis 3:16 - Revelation 2:14
Pain is given unto women for their part in the events in Eden, and greatly increased, “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” [Genesis 3:16]. It is promised in Revelations that this pain and indeed all pain will end, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” [Revelation 21:4].
We have all suffered greatly at some point in our lives. Maybe you are experiencing a season of suffering right now. Your pain breaks God's heart and He will put an end to our pain with the coming of His kingdom. What pains are you suffering in your life right now? Take these pains to God and ask Him to relieve your suffering.
Genesis 3:8 - Revelation 20:12
Because of man’s sinful nature we have been alienated from God’s presence, “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.” [Genesis 3:8]. The promise has been made however, that we shall be restored to Him, “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” [Revelation 20:12].
God wants us back in His life! We separated ourselves from God in the garden but God has not given up on us. When this world comes to an end and the kingdom of Christ comes, those who believe in the Lord will stand in His presence. Is there anything in your life that is coming between you and a closer relationship with God? How can you remove these obstacles?
